Golf Up High

Late start on today, so we after breakfast we drove upward and inland to Big Island Country Club, another facility open to the public. This is at 2500 feet altitude at the base of the forest. It is mostly hidden in valleys and between low ridges, but minor volcanic cones are visible from some areas. It is very green and moist. There is abundant animal life, necessitating very little mowing. It was much fun although a fairly long drive. A few pictures of the course, the flora, and the fauna below. We again ate at The Strawberry Patch - can't seem to get enough of that place. Except for golf and food, an otherwise unveventful day. We see, but do not discuss some of today's irritating news items.

No course mowers necessary
Oh, almost forgot. On the way to Strawberry Patch we drove along Ali'i Drive, the Las Vegas Strip of Kailua-Kona. We had happy hour piƱa colada and Mai Tai at Huggy's. We now know where the great unwashed masses are to be found in Kona. Along with bewildered and confused tourists.
Another night-time hot tub soak. It's raining now....bedtime lullaby.
